Norra Stands Out as a Workplace Where People Enjoy Working

Our recent employee survey once again delivered exceptionally strong results, reflecting the enduring commitment and positive spirit across our organisation.

At Norra, employee satisfaction is measured twice a year. In the spring, our people have the opportunity to respond to a shorter pulse survey, and at the end of the year we conduct a more extensive survey to assess wellbeing and employee experience. Both surveys are carried out using tools developed by our partner, Ilmarinen.

The survey provides an overall picture of employee wellbeing and engagement on a scale of 1 to 5. In the latest survey, our wellbeing and engagement score was 3.7. When comparing results from previous years, we can see that the score has developed positively since the coronavirus pandemic and has now remained at a good level – above 3.5 which is our target – for two consecutive years.

Based on the results, the most significant strengths of our working community lie in the expertise and professionalism of our people, the clarity of roles and responsibilities, and the positive interactions in the workplace. Our exceptional working community creates a solid foundation for excellent results, and it has been encouraging to see that we are well on track to achieving the renewed operating model and target state defined in our strategy.

A positive working community unites Norra as a one team

A strong working community is a unifying force across Norra. In the open responses, many colleagues highlighted the strong team spirit, mutual respect and positive atmosphere of success that prevail in our workplace. Several noted how the support and encouragement of colleagues make everyday work easier, strengthen motivation and increase the sense of meaningfulness.

Investments in employee benefits and strong leadership also received considerable praise. Our flight crew and ground services personnel especially value the opportunity to influence their own rosters; our Operations Centre staff appreciate efficient and smooth processes; and our office employees value flexible hybrid working practices.

Despite the positive results, the survey also identified areas for development. We are pleased that so many colleagues feel confident raising challenges they encounter in their work. We have a strongly development-oriented mindset and, in true Norra spirit, we are committed to addressing these areas together with representatives or our employees. Our objective is to be the best regional airline in Europe, and we believe this can only be achieved by working together.
