Happy International Women's Day!
International Women's Day will be celebrated tomorrow, Sunday 8 March 2026. Each year, thousands of events take place around the world to honour women and celebrate their achievements.
At Norra, we wanted to mark the occasion by bringing together an all-female crew who will be operating a few flights tomorrow in celebration of the day. Working in the flight deck you will find Minna-Mari and Sini, while Moonika and Sirpa are looking after safety and service in the cabin.
As is the case at many other airlines, our flight decks are still largely male-dominated, while women make up the majority of our cabin crew. Our Ground Operations department remain a predominantly male field, whereas in our office-based specialist roles the gender balance is more even.
We are delighted that in recent years more and more women have been applying to Norra to pursue careers as pilots as well as in other roles across the company. Our aim is to build Norra into a workplace that is an appealing option for everyone, regardless of theri gender or background. We also believe it is important that our wonderful colleagues lead by example by sharing their own journeys at Norra.
